We are excited to share that Luke Koeppel, an undergraduate researcher in the Kratz Lab, was awarded an Honorable Mention for the Margaret Foti Foundation Undergraduate Student Prize for Cancer and Cancer-Related Biomedical Research at the AACR Annual Meeting 2025.
Luke’s poster, “Dysregulating Transcription and Epigenetic Remodeling Using Dual BRD4 and CDK9 Inhibition in Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma,” presented innovative findings on how combination epigenetic therapies can reprogram transcriptional networks in PDAC organoids, offering potential for future precision oncology strategies.
This recognition from the AACR Undergraduate Student Caucus and Poster Competition honors outstanding undergraduate contributions to cancer research. Luke received a certificate of distinction and a monetary award sponsored by the Margaret Foti Foundation.
We are proud of Luke’s accomplishments and grateful for the strong culture of mentorship within our lab that supports the next generation of cancer scientists.
