Paulina Esguerra

Paulina is a graduate student in the Molecular and Cellular Pharmacology programs. She completed her undergraduate education here at UW Madison receiving a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacology and Toxicology. During her undergraduate career she worked in the Tang Lab as an undergraduate research assistant characterizing novel PROTAC and Molecular Glue Degraders targeting MDM2, and endogenous regulator of tumor suppressor protein p53. As a member of the Kratz Lab, she will explore MYC overexpression in Pancreatic Cancer with a focus on translation work to improve patient outcomes. Outside of the lab Paulina enjoys cooking, running by the lakes and cheering for badger hockey.
